Pomona Valley YMCA...

This is the YMCA where I had a membership as a youngster...It was built and dedicated on April 18, 1922 replacing the first building which was built in 1883 and which was the second floor of the Pomona Bank...
The present location is on North Garey Avenue in Pomona and right across the street from the Pomona First Federal Bank and Trust where my mother had been employed from 1951 until her retirement in 1976...Formerly known as just the Pomona First Federal Savings and Loan Assn... It was first located on South Thomas Street in Pomona until it moved in 1956 to where it stands today on North Garey Avenue...
Today Pomona Bank and Trust has many branches located all over Southern California and is now a household word known to everyone all over....Some trivia knowledge for you...
