Haunted Camarillo State Hospital...

One of the eery courtyards within the former Camarillo State Hospital, which now is a state university since 1997...What you see in the foreground is actual ghostly apparitions that were caught in the photo at the time the photo was taken...And this place really, truely is haunted from all the terrible occurrances that took place there when it was a state hospital...

This is the master bedroom of the Palomares Adobe Historical Site, on Arrow Highway, in Pomona, Calif, and, of which is also open to the public..The White man`s California history only goes back as far as around 1848 when the California Gold Rush began, and prior to that event, California belonged to Mexico until the Mexican/American war settled the dispute over territory in the mid-1800`s.... Posted by Hello
"Anchors Aweigh" (1945) with Frank Sinatra, Gene Kelly, Kathryn Grayson and Dean Stockwell...Excellent movie... Posted by Hello

The First YMCA In Pomona, California, 1884...The Bottom Floor Was The Pomona Bank While The Upper Floor Was A Christian Reading Room...

The First YMCA In Pomona, California, 1884...(Pomona, named after the Roman Goddess of Fruit, was incorporated into a city in 1888)...The bottom floor was The Pomona Bank while the upper floor was the YMCA Christian Reading Room and served as the Pomona YMCA until 1922 when the now existing building was built at Monterrey and North Garey Avenue in Pomona and which was the former location of The Palomares Hotel, a former big social gathering place in Pomona, which burnt down in 1912...... Posted by Hello

This is the Palomares Hotel as it is being destroyed by fire in Pomona in 1912...

Pomona Valley YMCA...

This is the YMCA where I had a membership as a youngster...It was built and dedicated on April 18, 1922 replacing the first building which was built in 1883 and which was the second floor of the Pomona Bank...
The present location is on North Garey Avenue in Pomona and right across the street from the Pomona First Federal Bank and Trust where my mother had been employed from 1951 until her retirement in 1976...Formerly known as just the Pomona First Federal Savings and Loan Assn... It was first located on South Thomas Street in Pomona until it moved in 1956 to where it stands today on North Garey Avenue...
Today Pomona Bank and Trust has many branches located all over Southern California and is now a household word known to everyone all over....Some trivia knowledge for you... Posted by Hello

This is the Hearst Castle, located in San Simeon, California...It was built by billionare William Randolph Hearst in the first part of the 1900`s...It is now a museum, open to the public and a big tourist attraction in California...I have not seen it myself yet, but I think there is an admission fee...If I can find a travel partner on the internet, maybe it would be fun to visit this place and also other interesting places...I don`t enjoy going to places alone, however, it`s too depressing that way...It`s a lot more enjoyable when you can share your experiences with a friend...But, anyway, the movie "Citizen Kane" (1941) with Orson Welles is based on the life of William Randolph Hearst, the newspaper tycoon.... Posted by Hello

A compilation of the Laurel and Hardy Classic Comedies at the Hal Roach Studios in Hollywood in the early 30`s...When you need a good laugh just pop in a Laurel and Hardy video and it will never let you down...I`ve seen all of their films more than once and I never get tired of watching them...Same is true for The Marx Brothers and W. C. Fields and the Abbott and Costello "TV Shows" which, in my opinion, are more funny than their movies were...In fact, their TV Shows of the early 1950`s are hysterical... Posted by Hello

About Howard Hughes

Howard Hughes suffered from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder...In his day no one knew anything about this illness and if you acted out like you were not normal as Hughes sometimes did, then you were just thought of as plain crazy and thrown into an asylum...
However Howard Hughes had plenty of money so he could bluff his way through...Unfortunately most people with OCD are not rich like Howard Hughes so they are not given the special attention one needs who has OCD and you are misdiagnosed as just schizophrenic or something and thrown into an institution! Like Camarillo State Hospital or someplace!
